Over the past 2 weeks I’ve been making some changes to my blog – adding more content that I hope will make it more interesting to my readers – that’s you! Here’s a summary of what’s been happening on the construction site:
- Next month I’ll be speaking at the Create Conference, giving a seminar on tools churches can use to communicate better and use their time more efficiently. I needed to write a bio for this event, so I thought I’d add it to my blog too. Read the bio here.
- I am constantly inspired by quotes, particularly people who help me to remember that the world is much bigger than me, and to use my time and talents well. Once a week I’ll add a new quote to the homepage, and I’ve started an archive of quotes – check out the archive here.
- I subscribe to over 50 blogs on subjects as broad as theology, productivity, lifehacks, design blogging and writing (perhaps that list isn’t so diverse afterall). On my homepage I’ve listed 12 of my favourite blogs.
- Thanks to some funky software I am able to easily tell which of my posts have been the most popular with my readers. I’ve added a list of the top 5 on my homepage too. I imagine this list will be quite dynamic!
- I’ve added a section for ‘recent comments’ so if you add a comment on one of my posts, others can easily see what you’ve said, and respond. Thanks for the comments – I’m always interested to hear what you think and engage with you about the things I’m writing.
More changes are on the way! If you have any suggestions for how my site can be improved, I’d love to hear from you.

Hi Steve,
Thought I would share one of my favourite quotes with you:
Great minds discuss ideas
Average minds discuss events
Small minds discuss people
- Eleanor Roosevelt
This one certainly helps to keep me from buying copies of WHO or Womans Day when I’m in the supermarket! It also helps me think twice when I’m with a group in the tearoom at work .
