Today I attended another funeral. I had never met the deceased, but those who knew him spoke warmly of his commitment to his work, and his love for his family and his friends. He will be sadly missed.
The woman described below, on the other hand, will not be sadly missed. This obituary appeared in the Times Herald. What a terrible way to be remembered.
When you read the obituary, you get the impression that her family really felt that their lives would have been better if their mother had never lived. I’m not sure how to respond to this. It’s such a terrible shame that she not only wasted her own life, but ruined the lives of those closest to her.
